Boycott Monster Energy (Monster Energy Drink Sucks Anyway)

To all my faithful readers, please pardon the candid nature of this post.

Monster Energy Sucks. I knew it the first time I tasted the worthless, disgusting drivel they call their energy drink, but their latest attack on Vermont craft brewer Rock Art Brewery takes their image to a whole new low.

A friend and co-worker recently turned me on to Rock Art Brewery, specifically their Vermonster beer. Now Monster Energy has issued a cease and desist to this small Vermont brewer, trying to strong-arm them into pulling their beer and all related marketing/advertising materials for some far-fetched infringement on their trademark. Hmm... "Monster" / "Vermonster"? Clearly the corporate legal team had a rather fruitless last quarter.

That's "Monster" Energy - by the way - not to be confused with "Monster" the job searching site, or "Monster" the manufacturer of overpriced high-end electrical cables, or "Monster" the great beer store in Glassboro, NJ, or "Monster" the 2003 movie with Charlize Theron, or "Monster" the trendy sushi place in NYC, or "Monster" the book by Walter Dean Myers, or even "Monster" that thing under your kid's bed that prevents them from sleeping through the night.

Watch this video and see why Monster Energy Sucks.

Boycott Monster Energy. It's no loss, Monster Energy Drink sucks anyway - you're not missing anything. Don't buy Monster Energy. Don't drink Monster Energy. Drink Red Bull.

For once, let's be heard and stop letting our local brewers - OUR LOCAL SMALL BUSINESS OWNERS - be barreled over by these overblown corporations. Let's help Monster Energy suffer the collateral damage in image, sales, and google rep that they are throwing in financial and psychological hurt at this small business.

Post this. Repost this. Link this. Tweet this. Comment, email, tell your friends and family. Tell your local brewers. Contact Monster, contact Monster's parent company Hansen Beverages. Write a letter. Wave a flag. Show your support for Rock Art and the great state of Vermont: Save Rock Art Brewery, Save a Puppy. You like puppies, don't you?

Don't let Rock Art become another quiet casualty to the unfair, unjust actions of another crappy beverage company. Bad beer is awful enough, but awful Monster Energy drinks have no ground impacting our beer or our choices when we peruse the shelves of our local bottle shops. If I can't get my favorite products because they are being pushed out by Monster Energy, then Monster Energy has now become a severe inconvenience to me. I am now a proud inconvenience to Monster Energy, and a proud supporter of Rock Art.

Monster Energy Sucks, Monster Energy Drink continues to suck.
