Impressions

The BXL cafe serves traditional Belgian style fare, offering a fine selection of Belgian and Belgian-style beers. Here you'll find the typical array of Trappists and some of the Belgian macros, but occasionally something special will adorn the beer list. Friendly service and good food makes the BXL a great spot for lunch, while the nights bring a somewhat more rambunctious crowd. Soccer tends to be the preferred sport on the house TV's, though the worn wood interior feels more like a rustic European farmhouse than it does a sports bar.

Beer: 6 / 10

Vibe: 6 / 10

Service: 7 / 10

Other Thoughts: Visit early in the week or during lunch to avoid the crowds. The burgers and frites are consistently good, while the meat & cheese platter is a nice alternative to split for two. Rochefort 10 is a nice find here, as well as the occasional sour.
