Our ratings are on a 10-scale:

VIBE: Look, feel, comfort, cleanliness, warmth. We can dig divey, but it's got to feel right.
SERVICE: Were the waiters and bartenders friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable?
BEER: Not everyone's got room for 50 taps, quality is what really matters: what's in stock?

Impressions

The Heartland Brewery, with its many locations, may turn off some of the more hard-to-please beer geeks; but before you thumb your nose at the mere idea of a chain, give the local brews a sampling. The beer is actually brewed by Brooklyn's own Kelso Brewery and is quite consistently good. Most locations have six regulars and two seasonals on tap, and plenty o' beer-friendly grub. The service is good and the price is comparable to any of the surrounding Irish Pubs. So if you're sick of your usual 'Big Three' on tap, stop into one of the Heartland locations for a little something different.

Vibe: 6 / 10

Service: 7 / 10

Beer: 5 / 10 (Brewpub, serves only their own beer)

Other Thoughts: There's big flavor in the Stout and the IPA while Bud/Miller/Coors drinkers may prefer to try the Cornhusker Lager.
