    Impressions

St. Andrews is a Scotch lover's paradise; and as much as the place feels like an Irish pub, single malt Scotches line the entire wall behind the bar, and the bartenders wear kilts- so we'll just leave that argument alone for now. St. Andrews also offers somewhere around 100 beers, which should keep the beer snobs at bay if only for a little while. Among those many beers are macros of all colors - many of the major brands - so from a connoissuer's perspective they get a few deductions. Good food, decent service, and a clean, welcoming atmosphere make this place worth returning to.

Other Thoughts: St. Andrews is an oasis in disguise. In an area of the city that's littered with Irish Pubs, it's nice to know there's at least one place that has an expanded beer and whisky selection. It is lacking a little of the mom and pop vibe - the owners operate more than a half dozen other bars around the city (including Stout), reminding us that this is no amateur operation.
