Impressions

The Long Room lies at the former address of St. Andrew,s which has since moved up just a few blocks. In fact the two share the same owners, as does Stout and few other establishments around the city. This can be both a good and a bad thing. Good - these folks enjoy their beer and stock these places well, Bad - the selections are a bit generic (more mass appeal/well known crafts and macros than some of the other places). The selections tend to be good enough for beer geeks, with a dozen or more taps, but leave room for a few improvements. The decor is a well-dressed Irish pub with a gorgeous marble-top bar that goes on forever. The bartenders are very friendly and - like Stout and St. Andrews - many of them sport an Irish accent; don't expect a whole lot of 'inside baseball' beer chatter from these folks though, they're not as picky about their brew as you are.

Vibe: 8 / 10

Service: 7 / 10

Beer Selection: 6 / 10

Other Thoughts: The food here is outstanding, try your hand at the pork chop reuben sandwich. Also a bonus, they do have a cask engine on board and try to keep it rotating and occupied.
