Impressions

The Modern is a gorgeous restaurant just beside the Museum of Modern Art where the decor and plate presentation is as stunning as the nearby artwork. The menu is carefully crafted, and the beer selections are comprised of both locals and hand-picked obscurities. Though not an expansive list, a beer connoisseur should have no problem picking something out of the ordinary to compliment lunch or dinner. Service is top notch, though - this not being a beer bar per se - don't expect too much beer knowledge behind the bar.

Beer: 8/10

Vibe: 10/10

Service: 9/10

Other Thoughts: The Modern makes a surreal mid-day getaway- a great place to clear your head from the business bustle, or even entertain a client with lunch and a walk through the MOMA. Be forewarned, beauty comes at a cost - bring your wallet.
