By that, I mean that they’re committed to building relationships with their customers and creating a level of trust that is tough to find these days. This isn’t just all talk either. According to their surveyed customers, 98% of them are very satisfied and would highly recommend their products. Clubs of America has also been featured in several popular magazines such as USA Today and Reader’s Digest.
How it works
The Beer of the Month Club works very similarly to most other beer clubs out there and has several different options for frequency of delivery. You can either choose an ongoing membership that will deliver every single month until you decide to cancel or you preselect how long you want your beer club membership to last. There is also a convenient option that allows you to choose monthly, bi-monthly, or every third month. This is a great option for the infrequent beer drinker who maybe has one or two a week. Each shipment comes with 4 different selections totaling 12 unique craft beers, which is 3 of each selection. Since a lot of breweries are now switching to cans, you may have a mixture of cans and bottles. Clubs of America gives you free shipping every single month.

Let’s face it, a good variety of craft beers is perhaps one of the most important things to look for in a beer club. No one wants a 12-pack of the same beer. It kind of defeats the point doesn’t it? Beer of the Month Club makes sure that this will absolutely never happen by only choosing rare, flavorful craft beers that may be nearly impossible for you to get without taking a long road trip or buying plane tickets. Each month you’ll receive 3 bottles of 4 different beers. Included in the craft beer variety list is nearly every single type of beer made from light-colored flavorful lagers too dark as night imperial stouts. Here is a short list of a few of the types of beer you may find in your beer delivery.
- Belgian White
- Amber Ale
- Black Ale
- Red Ale
- Imperial Stout
- Bourbon Barrel Stout
- Oatmeal Stout
- Double IPA
- Seasonal flavored Ales
- …. and tons more
Monthly Selection Process
Each month the craft beer is uniquely selected by a panel of beer tasting experts that will pick and choose which beers you will receive. This panel of beer experts bases their decision off of the flavor and rarity of the beer. Since these beers are hand-selected and pre-determined, you are not able to choose which beers you will receive. This makes each delivery a complete surprise. This club has been around since 1994 with a ridiculous amount of satisfied customers so they must be doing something right!
If you’re absolutely in love with a specific months selection, this Beer of the Month club gives you the option to reorder that months picks at a discounted price, as long you are a member.
Some beer of the month clubs have a page or blog that allows members to converse with one another on that month’s selection. This beer club, in particular, does not have much of an option and doesn’t really offer much of a community. But, if you’re not into that sort of thing and just would like to enjoy your beers, this shouldn’t matter to you so much. If it is a deal breaker for you, you could always talk a friend into getting a beer club membership right along with you.
Included in each shipment is a newsletter called ‘Beer Expeditions’. This will hopefully keep you up to date on the latest selections and give you a little more information on each of the different brews and breweries that they come from. When trying a new beer, I always like to know a little of the history of each of the breweries and where they are made.
Shipping a glass bottle across America can be nerve-racking and can also spark a lot of questions about whether this method of shipping beer works or not. Before I received my first shipment, I was pretty nervous that I was going to receive 12 broken bottles of beer and be completely out of luck. However, that was not the case. Since Clubs of America has been shipping out beer to their members for over 20 years, they seem to have mastered the art of shipping beer and use a network of Common Carriers to get the beer to your doorstep perfectly safe and unharmed. 100% guaranteed.
